The Dutchie & Renee Senior Cat Rescue Foundation
Our Mission
The goal of the Dutchie and Renee Senior Cat Rescue Foundation is to provide homes for senior and geriatric cats that have been surrendered by their owners for whatever reason.
Please understand that it is important to match the right home with the right cat to ensure that the older cat is not returned to a shelter as a premature death is then likely, and to provide stability for the older cat. To ensure the best matches, we follow a standard process for pet adoption.
If you are interested in adopting an older cat, please complete an application since that will allow us to check references including veterinarian, confirm the adoption situation is ideal, and where necessary, contact a landlord for approval.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask, as we are here to help.
We never charge
adoption fees
We do not charge an adoption fee because we feel that older cats are already at risk of living their lives out in a shelter or even worse of being euthanized so why add another obstacle to finding them a permanent home.
Due to the generosity of our donors and supporters any cat whose ownership was transferred to and placed for adoption by the Dutchie and Renee Senior Cat Rescue is fully vetted having undergone a complete wellness checkup with bloodwork and vaccinations.
To us, the most important objective is the re-homing of an older cat.
